Search and Rescue brings teams together to locate, stabilize and extract individuals that are in distress. Someone has been buried under several feet of snow from an avalanche and your job as a team is to rescue the victim so clear communication and sharing critical information between team members will be key. Participants will be taught how to use avalanche beacons and probing poles, and be shown how the ski patrol organizes their rescue efforts. This event can stand-alone or can be a great add-on to the Geo-Trekking or Adventure Quest.
